Understanding Stress
A stressful life can sometimes be very harmful, especially for your mental and body health. However, never having any stress can also be a hindrance on your overall performance since stress is what allows you to stay alert and provides you with that burst of energy that you need for work. This is why it is important to keep a balanced level of stress in our daily lives.
This diagram of Yerkes-Dodson's Law on stress performance represents the level of stress necessary to attain the maximum performance level, while lower and higher stress yields other disadvantages such as lack of alertness or complete disorganization.
